The traditional ambience was really appealing with the 11 rooms named after the ancient Greek pantheon. Team Dias led by Michael were superb- very courteous, friendly and efficient, going out of the way to make our stay comfortable from check-in to check-out. In fact Michael carried my wife's suitcase up the flight of stairs to the second floor, and spent time giving us insights into the history of Nafplio. His knowledge is remarkable! The location is unmatched, close to the major tourist destinations but not on a main street so there is no traffic noise. The ringing of nearby churchbells just added to the charm. What makes Dias (a variation of 'Zeus' as informed by Michael) the 'Pearl' of the Peloponnese, is the amazing breakfast table, laden with Greek delicacies many homemade, along with the more conventional eggs, sausages, cereals etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and and thank Michael, Elena, Ami and Martina for making our visit so memorable.

Everything was as expected and better. The hotels location is great. The room is lovely, spacious and exactly as on the photo with a tiny balcony (standard double) looking at on of the streets of this quaint town, Nafplio. It felt like I was in a truly family run small hotel (only 11 rooms) with staff being exceptionally attentive and caring. I travelled alone and the hotel and staff made me feel at home and safe. I cannot ask for anything more. Everything felt clean and there for the guests comfort. I loved it how at breakfast there is jam made by the mother in law of the owner, and freshly squeezed orange juice, I loved how the tea was made from proper loose leaves, I loved the feel of my room. It all fitted perfectly with the image of Nafplio. I wanted a relaxing, calm holiday on my own and thanks to this place I got exactly that. I do hope that I can return in the future again and meet the lovely people of Hotel DIAS again.

This is a very old ( over 200 years old) traditional building in the old town of Nafplion. Used to be home of one of the prominent members of the 1st Greek Government. The decoration and the atmosphere suits the history. All rooms are named after one of the 12 gods of Ancient Greece. We stayed at a triple room, spacious and clean. Happy for the Airco since we were in the middle of a heat wave with temperatures of over 40 degrees. The location is perfect, at the Start of the old town, just right to leave the car very near by. All within walking distance. It's a beautiful city, all buildings renovated and looked after. Breakfast was lovely with homemade pitas and pastries, plus home made marmelades. Very friendly staff. Wifi was good.

Let's start with the welcoming receptionist. The lady was vibrant, given us recommendations of her favourite spots, offered us to bring bubble wrap from her home to carry glass on the plane (accept our apologies, we left earlier than your shift started). Very pleasant person to be around, and adds a lot to the whole experience. The room was huge and with a cosy feeling to it. Bathroom well equipped, soap, shampoo. At the breakfast we were welcomed by a gentleman who's explained what was on the buffet. The coffee - mouthwatering, scrambled eggs - like you would do at home, tasty, self made jams, just great! We have a direct comparison with a hotel we stayed at the next day, incomparable.

The location near the bus station was brilliant and also walking distance to everything - the start of the 1000 steps to the fortress, the cafes & restaurants and the waterfront and beach. It was also a quiet location and offered a single room on the ground floor. Breakfast was included and very generous with lots of choices. Best of all the staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly. I felt very at home. Eleanna especially helped me find a way to Mycenae when the buses were difficult, recommended a wonderful local non-tourist restaurant and also helped me to find out about buses to Monemvasia. Always a smile and a welcome and I would definitely stay here again.
